Following the success of the previous Conferences organized by CMM, with the XII Conference on Steel and Composite Construction we intend to promote the most recent innovations and achievements in this type of construction, and contributing decisively for the promotion, consolidation and development of the sector.
The Conference will also be a privileged encounter for the exchange of ideas and experiences among the different actors in the design and execution of steel and composite structures, as well as in the teaching and research activities of the area. In this edition emphasis will be given to the theme of refurbishment of the built environment, considered as a priority and strategic for our country. All intervention in this area require the the establishment of multidisciplinary teams, involving different specialists, whose interaction will be stimulated in this Conference.
In this edition there will be given special relevance to the theme "Steel structures as an answer to climate changes".
The Conference will provide simultaneous translation Portuguese - English in order to promote the participation of international participants (*)
The participation in the Congress offers the possibility of publication of the papers in CE/Papers - Digital Scientific Library from Wiley Online Library.
* Simultaneous translation is subject to a minimum number of entries from international congressmen, and will be only available in the main conference room.
