1 ‐FROM LISBON AIRPORT
From Lisbon you can easily arrive at Coimbra by train departing from Oriente station in Lisbon and arriving at Coimbra train station terminal B. This will take you about 2h10 min with the intercities or alfa services. You can check the timetables in the link below.

Leaving from Portela airport to Oriente train station is best done by taxi as the airport is located in the city centre. You can take the taxi directly to the train station. The distance is short although the traffic may delay you. It should not cost you more than 10€. Instead, you can ask to go to Alameda (about 5€ by taxi) and from there take the metro to Oriente station, red line (0.75€).
2 ‐FROM OPORTO AIRPORT
You can easily arrive at Coimbra by train departing from Campanhã station in Oporto and arriving at Coimbra train station terminal B. This will take you about 1h10 min with the intercities or alfa services. You can check the timetables in the link above the same way.
The best way to go from Franscisco Sá Carneiro Airport to Campanhã train station is by metro. Line E (Violet) connects Airport Station to Campanhã Station. The travel time is around 30 minutes with a waiting time of 20 min. The metro station is located just in front of the arrivals zone of the International Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, in parallel with the two existing road ways. CONVENTO SÃO FRANCISCO is located in the left margin of Rio Mondego in Coimbra at Av. da Guarda Inglesa 1a, 3040-193 Coimbra (red circle in the map below). From the city centre, any of the hotels or Coimbra train station terminal A/B to FCTUC you can go by taxi, the distance is rather small, and will cost you not more than 10€. Another option is to walk from the city centre to the convent, the route is 750 m and takes about 5 minutes.
